The Original Wipeouts

Since January 2018

The Waikiki Wipeouts are my youngest girls club beach volleyball team. We train the entire school year - September - May and we meet 2 to 3 times per week. Ages 10 to 14. We are committed to growth in a sustainable way - as athletes and as members of our community. My girls are involved in many sustainable projects, they all are knowldgeable on topics like environmental protection, ecological economics, global climate crisis and the importance of their individual choices. I am proud to be part of their team as a coach and mentor. Our Name! The Wipeouts named themselves and the girls chose the name after the wipeouts of Waikiki Beach - our home court. The next try outs will be announced for January 2020. Stay tuned and stay in beach shape!

We participate in beach cleanups, we reduse, reuse, redesign and recycle everything we use for sports and school and we are happy to impact the life of the ocean by using biodegradable sunscreen and promote sustainable choices to the visitors we see here every practice.
